Pan/zoom problem for maps near prime meridian

I have a site using maps (control version 4.1) embedded on many pages based on geographic locations around the world. I've noticed that on maps very close to the prime meridian (0-degrees longitude) there is an odd behavior. Although the map renders markers it doesn't pan and does not show the zoom controls. Below are two links to pages, the first is near the prime meridian and the other a few degrees away. Both are generated using the same code just with a separate set of points and center location.

Perhaps GoogleMap 5.0 won't have this problem but it may be something worth testing for before the release.
