My maps started to not load today, so I checked the demo site to see if those were. At present they aren't...

There's a javascript error "window.jstiming is undefined"

Hi there,

I had a simular problem last night and found where the problem is.
GoogleMap control adds a reference to GoogleMaps API.
Before that reference uses a param v=2.x, where x was to point any newest version of GoogleMaps API.
Seems that is not supported any more and v=2 have to be used.

I'm making the change in source and preparing a new emergency GoogleMap Control 3.5 builds
For all which has the code, you have to change next couple of lines (1265-1266) in GoogleMap.cs from:

ClientScriptProxy.RegisterClientScriptInclude("maps.google.com",
                string.Format("http://maps.google.com/maps?file=api&v=2.x&key={0}", Key));

to:

ClientScriptProxy.RegisterClientScriptInclude("maps.google.com",
                string.Format("http://maps.google.com/maps?file=api&v=2&key={0}", Key));

Hi again,

It is weird, but now it seems everything to be working even with the old param in version 3.5
Looks like it was related GoogleMaps API update last night.
However, I found using v=2.x i obsolete now, and will change that in the code and make a new builds, just won't be emergency :).

Yeah, after posting that I did some research and found that Google had "upgraded" their API to the new version. They must have gotten some complaints, because it does look like they've fixed it to be backwards compatible.

Thanks for being on the ball with that. I really love this control. I used Google Maps on a project a few years ago with ASP classic and had to do all the javascript by hand. It took days. On my current project, I had it up and running in less than an hour using your control. It's very easy to use.

Thanks for all the hard work and I look forward to any future versions.
