GoogleMap Control 5.0 - Won't work on hosted environment

Feb 21, 2011 at 11:14 AM

Does the Google map control require a full trust environment to run, and if so has anyone managed to get it to run under medium trust?

I'm using the control on my website. It works fine on my development machine, but when I move it to my ASP.net hosting environment it fails.

I get a Security Exception message that "ReflectionPermission" is restricted.

I assume from looking around forums that its a trust issue. My hosting provider says they run a medium trust environment and will not under any circumstances modify this for the app. I can't change the trust settings in the web.config file as they override this.

Is there anything else I can do?

Did you come up with a solution? I am having the same problem.
